Documentary Film

Documentary Film is a powerful means of expanding our collective understanding of the shared human experience, to foster an informed, compassionate and connected world. Documentaries help discriminate interesting information and encourage critical thinking about the world in a creative way and can help people find new direction in life when they are positively influenced by these films. Storytelling has always be used to convey social messages and documentaries do this do this particularly well with audio-visual content to educate and inspire people into action which might not have been possible otherwise on a global scale. It is however important to keep an open mind and discern fact from subjective expression, as behind every camera is a human director projecting their story of how they believe the world works... MCCDO encourages the viewing of documentaries  at every school and at University so that students might find an interesting supplementation to gaining knowledge and insight. Check out the links below to some great thought provoking documentaries right here, right now, or visit our Cinema to view various interesting documentaries that we regularly screen!
