SMME Enterprise Incubation

Small Enterprise Development is crucial for job creation and the comprehensive viable development of any local economy. SMME development is a key objective set in the 2013 Government NDP (National Development Plan) as well as The Growth Plan. During the Sisonke District Growth Summit 2013, SMME creation was highlighted as top priority for the district growth strategy.

The Major challenge in all these plans, as good as they are, is the serious lack of implementation capacity. Hence from year to year plans and goals are changed and shifted, while access to opportunities and realities in vulnerable communities remain dire. MCCDO is well positioned to help implement and realise all these plans within the set time frames. SMME Incubation, coaching, training, networking and mentorships are some of the services and programs we offer for SMME Development.

Co-op training and development

Co-operatives Development is identified as one of the governments key strategies for job creation and equitable community development. Whilst the initiative behind promoting Co-operative development is a good idea, and the fact is that it has been used successfully to develop the business sectors in countries like Kenya and Ghana.  There are many challenges with this system in South Africa and unfortunately few co-operatives reach financial viability and sustainability.

MCCDO is capacitated thought research, studies and the experience of setting up EG Permaculture Primary Co-operative Ltd. to help address and overcome many of the challenges faced by other Co-ops in SA.  We do this by incubating, mentoring and training co-operative members in a network and improving capacity, responsibility and team work, so as to streamline and help make other Co-operatives a success. MCCDO happy  to assist co-operatives throughout the country.
